Walk With the Warriors Inc. a veteran organization whom is super-heading legislation in congress, to make November 7th, as the National Native American Indian Veterans Day. Whether this day becomes a National Holiday is still in the making. For sure it will be the recognition day for our Native American Indian Warriors, history in the making and not a day too soon.

For centuries the Native American Indian Warriors have endured every bit of the traumatic experiences a War has to offer. They have stood the test, they have challenged the enemies, and they have touched their enemies while the enemies were still alive. American Indian Veterans Day will re- inspires self-pride, family - pride, and respect for one's self.

This sets the stage for a warrior to settle back into society without grief and despair. We had a lot of people asked the question, why we picked the seventh day of Nov. On the Legislative side November is recognized as the National American Indian Month. It is already a custom and is observed as such. The number 7 is a sacred number and is observed by American Indian Nations across the country. It is used in ceremonial practices to acknowledge Deities.

The American Indian people interpret the number 7 as a sacred number because the Creator used it so many times in his creation of the heaven and the earth. For the purpose of pursuing the common causes we encourage unity within all veteran organizations and also throughout the Indian country. As veterans of the Armed Forces we all need a time and a place to do our Victory Dances, as a custom to our Ancestral Warrior. We want to be victorious in every aspect of human rights and equal opportunity. We are still the Land Lords of this Continent and don't want to be swept under the carpet and be forgotten.

The Indian people laid their sacred tobacco down for the safety of this continent. They pierce their flesh before the almighty so that we can have peace on the entire planet. They are like the roots of the big Red Wood. While our White Brothers are like the leaves in the fall, they want to catch the wind and fly into Mystical Space.

As Native American Indian Brothers and Sisters we must Unite and stand together and face the U. S. Government. Let them know we are here to stay for eternity and we are not going anywhere, so they might as well get use to it. Acknowledge the importance of this day and be a part of this history that is being made.

After 500 years under siege, The American Indian is finally overcoming being subdued. This really sounds good and this is the main reason why we need to be United and Stand Together. Unity represents accomplishments, power, and success. The task is tremendous for only one organization to accomplish, however Walk With the Warriors Inc. has made an extraordinary progress.

By walking across the United States 2800 miles, to bring awareness to the public and the US Government, the needs of the Native American Indian Veterans. It is a Real-Need and Real-Needs need to be dealt with ASAP. It took a lot of planning, a lot of prayers, a lot of traveling and a lot of finances to get to where we are.

Needless to say, it was worth it and the beneficiaries will be the Past Warriors, the Present Warriors and the Future Warriors. Our heritage tells us as Native American Indian Warrior, once a Warrior always a Warrior. We are forever committed to the welfare of our people for the rest of our lives. We have to see the unseen and solve it strategically. We have to reach beyond our own destiny for the sake of the people.

As member of the Walk With the Warriors Inc., we have made an oath that it will be our duty to seek and establish ways to bring better living standards back to all Veterans to include the American Indian Veterans. Our oath tells us that it is also our duty to establish a better communication between the Governing Body of the United States and the American Indian Nations and their veterans.

A Veteran is a Warrior we sent into the darkest part of the darkness to besiege the wicked and the evil. When a Warrior raised his or her hand, it meant he or she has given herself to the Creator so that the people would be safe. Allowing the Creator to use them as he saw fit. Whatever the cost, as they say. Cost in terms of life and death.

Our National Defense has made a lot of promises to new inductees. They sounded good and looked good from the front but is full of red tape on the backside. They don't tell you about the finer lines until they are done with you. Nothing has changed and maybe will never change. One of the primary goal of the Walk With the Warrior is to reminding the United States of American Legislature that they have to live up to all the promises they have made to all Veterans.
